At the beginning of July, we had a two day event for the 7th graders. It was the “English Seminar.” For this event, we wanted students to work on their communication, teamwork, and creative thinking skills. We divided the students into small groups, and invited many native English speakers to the school to join them.

During the event, students had time to enjoy different exchange activities in English. They also worked in their groups to write an original fairy tale, and then practiced acting it. At the end of the second day, they presented their plays one by one. It was fun to see how each story changed.

Even though the event was only two days long, we hope that this year’s 7th graders have made some good memories.

7月9日（金）・12日（月）の2日間、校内で、イングリッシュセミナーを行いました。愛徳学園の幼稚園、小学校、そして中高の 8 名のネイティブの先生方とともに、アクティビティやワークショップを通して、英語でコミュニケーションする楽しさを味わうことができました。初めは緊張した面持ちで声もあまり出ていませんでしたが、時間が経つにつれ、沢山の笑顔がみられ、英語での会話を楽しんでいました。2日目の最後にはチーム毎に英語劇のプレゼンテーションをしました。どのチームも工夫を凝らしており、楽しいプレゼンテーションとなりました。また、仲間のことをもっと知り、絆が深まる2日間になったと思います。
